My name is Irina. Sometimes I like to think I'm inspired by angels, and this gives me the strength to fight with dragons.
I make ceramics in a studio located in Sotrile, Prahova county. To get there you have to climb a road through a sycamore forest. The road is called the Valley of the Beasts.
The objects made in the studio are both utilitarian and decorative. Each product has a story to tell through shape, graphic or colors carefully chosen in decoration; my mission is to share with lovers of stories as much as possible from the universe of Romanian mythological symbols, motifs and characters.
Archaic stories will be passed through the personal filter, reinterpreted and staged with the help of ceramics.
